How can I book a move with Greater Northern Removals?
You can book your move online, call the team on 07 4035 5500, or visit one of our depots. However, we recommend getting in touch by requesting a quote first as early as possible, particularly if you have a preferred moving date so we can understand your moving requirements and provide the right service for your needs.
You can choose between our Quick Quote for a faster estimate or our Full Quote for a more comprehensive breakdown of what you’re moving. Once we’ve received your details, our team can get in touch to discuss your move and next steps.
What if I need to add or remove items from my move?
Just let us know as soon as possible. Changes to the items being moved can affect the space, time and cost required, so we’ll update your moving arrangements and quote where necessary.
Can you move me on a weekend?
Weekend moves are available depending on our schedule and your location. It’s best to discuss your preferred date with our team when requesting your quote, particularly during busy periods.
Can I book extra services after booking my move?
Yes. If your requirements change, speak to our team about adding services such as packing, unpacking, storage, insurance, vehicle transport or other moving assistance. The earlier you let us know, the easier it is to organise.

How long will a home move take?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The size of your move, distance, access, stairs, packing requirements and destination all affect the timeframe. For interstate moves, transit times can also vary depending on the route and your requirements.
We’ll discuss the expected timeframe with you as part of planning your move.
Do I need to be present at the move?
We strongly recommend being present, particularly at the destination, so the team knows where your furniture and belongings should go. If you can’t be there, speak with us beforehand and we can discuss alternative arrangements.
Should I dismantle the furniture before the move?
You don’t necessarily need to. Dismantling and reassembling standard items such as beds is part of our usual moving service. Some larger or more specialised items may require additional arrangements, so let us know about them when we quote your move.
