I recently used Greater Northern Removals (Chess) to relocate from Townsville to Mackay. Yastin arrived at my home to do a pre-pack. Yastin was happy to have a chat & respectfully packed my belongings pretty quickly. I had no uneasiness of him being in my house & he was professional while on the job making sure I knew when to expect the team to arrive at my home the following day to load the truck.On pick up day, Mitchell arrived with a team and from the get go they were efficient and professional. Each person introduced themselves and got on with the job. The truck was loaded within 3 hours. I have used other removalists in the past, and this team did not swear or act unprofessionally at any stage. This is something I really appreciated because that is something I’ve encountered with other companies. The team that arrived all seemed to have a role & knew what was expected and it was clear Mitchell was coordinating the load and he did this really efficiently.Mitchell & Adam arrived to offload my things in Mackay. They were on time & quick to offload, keeping us involved to make sure boxes were going to the right room in the house. All boxes were accounted for & there was no major damage to any of our belongings. Mitchell was even happy to involve my curious children who were giving him tips on how to put the couch back together - I’m quite sure Mitchell had the situation under control, however for kids experiencing their first move, thank you for including them.I would recommend Greater Northern Removals (Chess) to anyone in need of professional removalists who can be trusted to pack and move things with care. Can not fault the professions of all contacts within the group. We stored our furniture with GNR for 12 months before delivery and all our furniture was delivered without a scratch. The unloading team arrived on time and placed all in the areas we requested. The office contact staff were fabulous and need to be recognised for the great customer service. We have no hesitation in recommending GNR to anyone who is contemplating a move and storage

The staff were uber fantastic in their job. We had heavy furniture and white goods that needed to be removed from a two storey home and the guys worked in uniform fashion always being careful but importantly they were watching out for each others safety. It is a strenuous job but they managed it well. Very pleased with the removal service. THANK YOU.

Great service all the way from Cairns to Ipswich. Ladies who packed did a great job, then two arrived to complete inventory. Next day right on time the team packed container with care, everything fitted in well and secure. At new address team arrived on time, unpacked, put beds up and helped place heavy item. Chris came out and checked everything and gave a price. Then 4 guys turned up on the scheduled day (all were amazing!!!) Carefully loaded my house contents, tagged all boxes and emailed me a list. Great service from start to finish.

Great experience with our move from Cairns back to Sydney in Feb 24. The process was seamless ,office staff, removalists were polite and professional all the way. All our possessions were loaded into a container onsite and the same container turned up for unload in Surry Hills. Add into this a very competitive price and no fear of goods being loaded and unloaded by several hands using the back load process. Nothing lost or damaged. Would recommend over any other way of moving. Even better than self packing into a container yourself

We recently used Greater Northern Removals to move from our cane farm to Townsville. The removal men were so helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We used Chess Moving Cairns for our move from Cairns to Brisbane. Our move was one of the most complicated as we were moving into our newly build house in Brisbane which was not ready yet when we reached Brisbane. As a result, Chess Moving and team happily stored our stuff at their Cairns warehouse for over 2 weeks until I could give them a final delivery date. They managed to make the delivery at the most suitable date which they had available at the time. We received all our stuff intact with not a single scratch. The movers themselves from Cairns and those who delivered it to our Brisbane house were very friendly and nice guys. Over all I would say, they have offered us a '5-Star" service and will recommend without doubt them to anyone who needs reliable and hassle-free moving. They are the best!!
